So much has happened these last few days! Okay first things first, Elizabeth is now rolling over BOTH ways, but she definitely prefers her tummy. I bought her a water playmat that she likes to scream at because she can't get the toys out. I thought it would be fun for her, not torture! She gave her first real belly laugh yesterday when I was pretending to eat her hands. It only lasted a few seconds though and she doesn't find me eating her hands worthy of a belly laugh anymore :( We went to Spooktacular at the zoo on Friday. She was absolutely mesmerized by the aquarium. Her favorite were the jellyfish. Big brother was such a great help, too. On Saturday she met Great Grandpa Monty and Aunt Cheryl for the first time! It was so great to see both of them! She played in the fall leaves. She didn't look this stoic the entire time, she actually enjoyed them, haha! Aaaaand she's started experimenting with a sippy cup! She's gettin so big!!
E has the rabies!
No, just kidding. she's been blowing those raspberries like crazy and is always foaming at the mouth though. Super cute until I give her an impulsive kiss and end up with a face full of slobber! She's really been working hard on her 'B' sounds too. Maybe she'll be able to say "BOO!" by Halloween? Haha. We invested in one of those amber teething necklaces. She's been wearing it since Tuesday and woke up super happy these last few mornings! She actually slept ALL Night last night! Only time will tell if the thing actually works or if it was just a fluke. Things E is Obsessed With:1. This Pillow: 2. Her Daddy: 3. Her Big Brother: 4. Tummy Time: 5. This Pillow:
We are merrily rowing along with wonderful wonder week 4! (sarcasm) E was up every hour and a half last night. During one of her night escapades I decided to try and snap some photos of her smiling. Of course, the second I bring out the camera she goes back to being super serious baby. Every. Time. So I’m trying to get her attention and after awhile I decide to try “the most annoying noise in the world” on her. It was pretty loud. She didn’t like it. Mom needs to learn some impulse control. Yesterday I mentioned how she was growling at her hands. This is no cute, baby-like “grrrr grrrr”, either. This is like a guttural, Trex-ripping-apart-his-dinner-type growl. So she does this while nursing now, also. Well…today while she was throwing one of her Cranky Frankie fits (that’s her stage name, btw) I look down and notice two hard white bumps on her lower gums. Baby girl is getting her some teeth! I read that growling and humming while eating is a sign of teething. Who knew? Well, besides google. Again, I tried to get a pic, but she wouldn't cooperate, just gummed me with all her might.
E is officially 15 weeks today at 4:39 pm! She is currently celebrating by trying to eat the face off her lovey. She rolled over today! From her tummy to her back, 4 times, trying to get at her Sophie Giraffe. Admittedly, she first rolled a week and a half ago, but she only did it twice and then had some kind of memory lapse because she hasn't done it again until today. I excitedly informed her dad, whom then informed me that I looked and sounded like I was training a dog. He does kind of have a point...
"Come on baby! Roll Over!! RRROOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL OVER!" As I squeak her Sophie Giraffe, trying to get her to follow it. Sounds pretty accurate, except she didn't receive any treats, just a baby high-five. On a lighter note, my hair is still falling out by the handful. I consulted Dr. Google about this after a freakish amount came loose before, during and after a shower. He/She says I could lose my hair for up to 12 months. Should I be looking into getting a weave?? I'm honestly getting a little worried... |
